本机床能够完成轨距为1435mm 的客、货车滚动轴承轮对轴颈部分（不包括防尘板座）的车削、滚压、磨削 （以磨为主）加工的专用机床，加工轴颈范即是φ98～φ180mm,轮对回转踏面直径φ740～φ1100mm,车轴 轴长范围为2050-2500mm。 机床数控系统选用西门子828D数控系统，机床主要由床身、左右尾座、左右刀 架、床主要由床身、左右尾座、左右刀架、左右磨头装置、摩擦主传动装置、摩擦轮架装置、千斤顶装置、冷却装置、液压系统、电气系统组成，其中刀架和磨头可分别实现二轴联动，各轴均采用西门子交流伺服电机驱动。
This machine shall be the special purpose machine for turning,knurling and grinding（mainly grinding）the axle journal （excluding dust shield pedestal）of rolling bearing wheelset on passenger coach and wagon which the track gauge is 1435mm.The machining axle journal range shall be within中98～中180mm,the swing diameter of wheelset tread shall be within中740～中1100mm and the axial length range shall be within 2050 -2500mm.The numerical control system adopts SIEMENS 828D.This machine mainly consists of lathe bed,left and right tailstocks,left and right tool posts,left and right grinding head devices,friction main drive device,friction wheel stand device,jack device,cooling device,hydraulic and electrical systems,etc.The tool post and grinding
head can realize two axis linkage respectively and each axis will be driven by SIEMENS AC servo motor.
